The War Show, Syria: Film and Discussion with Norwegian Refugee Council

The NRC is addressing the topic of humanitarian aid during the ongoing crisis in Syria, in a discussion with Jan Egeland, General Secretary of NRC. Following the screening of The War Show, the discussion will focus on the actual situation in Syria, where more than 13 million people are in need. Jan Egeland is a consultant of the United Nations in Syria and will share is knowledge with the audience.

Young Persperctives on Migration: Two Films and Q+A with Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg

An afternoon with films by young filmmakers from the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. How do they perceive the topic of escape and migration? How do they include current political topics in their films? The director of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg has selected two films for our festival and presents them together with the directors of the two films.

Return to Afghanistan: Film and Discussion with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung

The documentary examines the motives of Afghan refugees and the circumstances of their return to a country plagued by violent conflicts. Why did they decide to make their way back to Afghanistan? What realities do they face, now, back in a country they had hoped to leave for a better life? What hopes and plans do they have for their future? The film and panel from Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung will search for an answer to these questions.

An vier Vormittagen bieten wir eine spannende Auswahl an geeigneten Dokumentarfilmen exklusiv für Schulklassen in unseren ausgewählten Kinos an. Gemeinsam mit den Schülerinnen und Schülern wollen wir den Film unmittelbar nach der Filmvorführung diskutieren.

Wir möchten Jugendlichen eine nachhaltige und tiefgehende Auseinandersetzung mit aktuellen Menschenrechtsthemen ermöglichen und haben alle unsere angebotenen Dokumentarfilme auf die aktuellen Rahmenlehrpläne der Schulfächer und Altersklassen zugeschnitten.
